OUR MONTHLY ATHLETE CHECK
ATHLETES THAT HAVE ALOT OF POTENTIAL
WHICH WILL FUTHER MAKE AN IMPACT ON OUR SPORT
JEN FLONTEK-GREGORUK
PHOTOGENIC - OUTGOING - HONEST

Born and raised in Thunder Bay Ontario Canada. Jen started training at a young age in her bedroom with, ironically, soup cans! Jen of course did what every male and or female does to move up the ladder… she progressed to one litre water bottles then hit the gym when she was of age, she then began to teach aerobics and finally, she now competes at the Provincial and National levels. At the age of 21, Jen was a cheerleader and choreographer for the Orlando Rollergators – a pro roller hockey team based out of Orlando Florida. This endeavour brought on the attention of the president and Co-Owner of the Esther Williams Swim Wear Collection -based out of Los Angeles California. She modeled for the company for just under 2 years. While in Los Angeles Jen was a regular at the Marina Athletic Club in Marina Del Rey.
The fast pace of Los Angeles can be for some but it was not for Jen. She moved back to Thunder Bay Ontario, Canada where she graduated with Degrees in French, Kinesiology and Education from Lakehead University. All the while, she maintained her fitness lifestyle by teaching a wide variety of fitness classes and weight trained exhaustively. Upon graduation, Jen moved to Edmonton Alberta where she secured a teaching position at the junior high level and found a second home at ClubFit – her gym of choice and, to this day, she continues to teach fitness classes and weight trains.
Jen's first competitive nutritional advisor that she hired was Raejha Douziech owner of Peak Fitness and Nutrition. Raejha guided Jen to victories at the Western Canadian Body Building and Figure Championships – where she won her division (tall) and took best overall female figure athlete - and The WNSO/FAME Prairies – where Jen obtained her Pro card in the Muscular Model division, took second in Figure and third in Fitness Model. Jen also competed successfully at the WNSO/FAME Worlds in Toronto Last June. All while under Raejha’s watchful eye and strict diet.
Now Jens physical training is under the guidance of Tom Mckinnon from Premiere Strength. Commenting; ‘Tom is an aggressive trainer that sees the potential in his clients and expects nothing less than the very best that you can give. He inspires you to dig deep and find your animal within. I am truly thankful to have such dedicated and remarkable ally in my corner’

SHARON WATERS

SHARON WATERS
Next year the Female Bodybuilding World better watch out because Sharon is making a comeback and one in a big way. She is not only an I.F.B.B. Pro but she is also Australia's strongest woman. Two hard levels that most males could not even attain.
An owner of U.F.O.(Ultimate Fitness Opportunity), she is a lifestyle coach, specializing in nutrition and lifestyle programs employing 10 personal trainers. Sharon has built up quite a business to help the general public. Besides Owning U.F.O., Sharon designs and makes costumes and competition suits, makeup, posing and Choreograhy, make up and the whole works.
Sharon started training training in her early 20's after trying the Aerobic Instructor thing. Which she did get certified in. Thought it might help out her Cronic Asthma. Instead seeing that it was not helping build up her muscles she started training with weights. Running into a man by the name of Barry Murry. Which convinced her to start training and competing and she has not stopped since. She has over 25 bodybuilding and strength titles to her name. I'll go out on a limb and say,"Sharon will be winning an overall pretty soon in the near future"! Good luck Ms. Waters we will be watching. D.G. M.T.I.

M.T.I. : Michael How did you get started in weight training?
M.M.: I was playing on Professional Golf Tours at a bodyweight of 128 lbs. I met up with my friend Steve Michalik. Steve showed me how to naturally build my physique-otherwise Id be drinking some beers and getting fat on some lazy boy couch at some country club.
M.T.I.: Some of your idols?
M.M.: Some idols? No idols but inspirations? Larry Bird, Ben Hogan, Jack Nicklaus, Albert Einstein, W.W.-II Vets, Spartan Army / 300.
M.T.I.: How is your diet?
M.M.: 100% on season and 80% off.
M.T.I.: Are you married?
M.M.: No, I only have one sibling.
Just some small questions that bring out the feelings of a champion. Mr. Manavian is a class act on and off the stage. I think he is the only bodybuilder and professional golfer ever in this sport. Michael has great shape and and enough size he can and will be able to knock off larger class winners. This brings us to posing? Well, look above. We will be seeing and hearing from Michael before to long. He is going places. D.G. M.T.I.

SARA MORIN

WHAT SYLE! WORKING THE CROWD LIKE A PRO.

GREAT SHAPE.
Sometimes when one looks at a female and or male on stage and or by pictures. They can see some awesome potential. When they finally get to meet that person they can tell if they are professional and or if they have the abilities to be a role model in life for athletes in the future. We here at Muscle Training Illustrated have da ja vue? Sarah reminds alot of Sharon Bruneau and her beauty and stage presence. She can work a crowd like a pro. She sticks out like in a line up on stage like Larry Bird would stick out at a college basketball game.
Just when Sara Morin was starting to make a name for herself in the sport she left it. Sara has been busy with her children. General Contracting her new house and finishing nursing school. We got word last night that she will be comming back soon. Sarah we miss you!
